DRAMA SUMMER CAMPS
LIGHTS UP: Putting on a Play! SESSION A
Directed by Mrs. Bridget E. DeVivo
When: June 18th – June 22nd
Time: 8:30 am -11:00 pm
Entering Grades: 3rd- 9th (Current 2nd- 8th graders)
Fee: $225 for Session A
Budding actors will perfect their performance skills by participating in a variety of Drama games and exercises that will improve their stage presence, diction, projection, and movement. A large part of the day will be spent working together devising an original play that will be performed in the Student Activities Center for family and friends on the last day of class. Working on scenery as well as gathering props and costumes for the performance will be included, too! There will be a short snack break; please pack a light morning snack and something to drink each day.

LIGHTS UP: Putting on a Play! SESSION B

See Description of Session A above. Students that participated in Session A are welcome to join Session B as well! The actor’s experience will be completely different as new drama games will be introduced and the Session B play will have totally different plot and outcome.
When: June 25th to 29th
Time: 8:30-11:00
Entering Grades: 3rd - 9th (Current 2nd - 8th graders)
Fee: $225.00 (-$200.00 for students that also participated in Session A -$25.00 discount)

Disney Musicals Drama Camp!
Directed by Mrs. Bridget E. DeVivo
When: June 25th – June 29th
Time: 11:30 am -1:00
Entering Grades: 1st – 5th Grade (Current K - 4th graders
Fee: $150
Bring the magic of Disney to life on stage at OHA! Each day budding performers will reenact scenes as well as learn songs and dances from their favorite Disney Musicals such as "The Lion King," "The Little Mermaid," “Peter Pan,” “Aladdin,” "Moana" and "Frozen" just to name a few. The students will also take part in a variety of drama games and movement exercises as well as making masks and props.
Puppetry!
Puppetry Camp, lead by Mrs. DeVivo, will allow students to have an opportunity to learn about different types of puppetry from all over the world. Each day the students will make a variety of hand puppets including paper bag, tube, finger, sock and stick puppets as well as marionettes and shadow puppets. The students will create puppets based on popular folk and fairy tales that we will read, they will use their imaginations to make their own creations and the students will also learn how to write a puppet script and put on a puppet show!
